Steven William Brinkhurst [1] is an English footballer who currently plays for Eastbourne Borough F.C. as a midfielder.
Born in Cuckfield, West Sussex, Brinkhurst joined Brighton & Hove Albion's Centre of Excellence in March 2000. Brinkhurst, along with fellow youth players Steve Cook and Josh Pelling, signed professional contracts with Brighton on 7 May 2009.[2]
In the 2009-10 season, Brinkhurst joined Blue Square South team Lewes on loan for two spells to gain first-team match experience. While on loan at Lewes Brinkhurst scored his first goal in an emphatic 6-2 win against Dover Athletic on Boxing Day 2009.[3]
In May 2010 Brinkhurst was released by Brighton and Hove Albion and in June 2010 joined Blue Square Bet Premier side Eastbourne Borough.[4] [5]
